We support growth and innovation

Deka brings the funds of millions of savers and investors together with the capital requirements of companies and governments

Millions of people in Germany save with investment funds and certificates. We manage almost 400 billion euros for Sparkasse (German Savings Bank) and their customers in particular, making us one of the most important providers of these products. We are the securities services provider of the Sparkasse banks.

We combine the banking and fund business under one roof. Our customers benefit from this combination every day. This can be seen not only in our good ratings on the capital markets. Investors and institutional partners have valued our reliability for more than 100 years. We provide financing for everything from the Bundesländer (German federal states) to wind farms, and we will find the right products, whatever our customers’ needs.
As one of the largest investors in Germany, we engage in active, constructive and critical dialogue with the companies in which we are invested. We are convinced that good corporate governance and a sustainable corporate strategy increase the value of companies in the long term, which is also reflected in higher share prices. This means that we also give small investors a voice and actively represent their interests to the management of the companies.

We are advocates for securities

Germany’s securities culture is still behind the times

Too few people take advantage of investment funds and certificates. But these investments could help to close pension gaps and build up assets. So we are committed to ensuring that a broader range of people become investors and can therefore benefit from saving through securities.
Our employees are of vital importance. They ensure that our investors’ funds are well invested. We offer our employees modern working conditions in a safe environment. We are a reliable employer that believes in giving our employees opportunities for
development and takes into account a good work-life balance.

We believe in sustainability

Sustainability is part of our business model

As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Sparkassen in Germany, assuming responsibility within the society in which we live and work is second nature to us. We are committed to a sustainable business strategy – in economic, environmental and social terms. As a
pioneer among the systemically important banks in Europe and Germany, DekaBank filters all of its own investments and has defined exclusion criteria in areas such as the environment, armaments, human and labour rights.
But we are also involved in many projects outside our actual business purpose – in contemporary art and architecture, science, sport and social projects – with the aim of helping to make our society a little better.

We assume responsibility

Deka has a wide variety of social commitments
