How we practice sustainability
The issue of sustainability has been firmly anchored at the core of the Deka Group in our business strategy since 2015. From human resources management and human rights to compliance and information security, we place great importance on having sustainable standards in place throughout our corporate management. In addition, there is the area of products: Sustainability is a fundamental issue here, too. We have clear principles that provide the framework for our funds and financing.
To continuously improve our own banking operations, we have introduced an environmental management system certified to DIN EN ISO 14001 for the entire Deka Group. Even more: since 2020, the unavoidable emissions from business operations have been fully offset by the purchase of reduction certificates. This is also reflected in the ratings awarded by sustainability rating agencies: Deka is rated above average – and is constantly improving.
