Transaction | 2023-10-05

Deka Immobilien has acquired a state-of-the-art logistics property for its Deka Immobilien Europa Fund, located in the established logistics hub of Alblasserdam. It is strategically situated in close proximity to Europe's largest seaport.

This cutting-edge facility was developed by Dudok Real Estate and is situated in the eastern extension of the port of Rotterdam, within the well-established logistics hub of Alblasserdam, offering prime access to Europe's largest seaport. The inclusion of a barge terminal in the nearby port of Rotterdam-East adds further advantages for the tenant.

The new building boasts an impressive rental area of 36,735 square meters and is already 100% leased to Peute Recycling B.V. for over 15 years. Peute Recycling B.V. is a financially strong tenant focused on recycling paper and plastics, with a strong vision for reducing CO2 emissions. With the move, Peute Recycling B.V. will also relocate its headquarters from Dordrecht to Alblasserdam. In addition to warehouse space, the property features a separate three-story office building connected to the logistics hall through a gateway, providing additional leasing flexibility.

A highlight of the property is the coveted truck parking spaces, offering a clear competitive advantage in the region. Additionally, the area can be used for container parking spaces and future project developments in the short term. Sustainable construction and operation of our properties is always a priority for us, which is why we aim for a “Very Good” BREEAM-in-use certification. The property is already designed today to allow for a flexible implementation of future alternative secondary use, which is a crucial element of our sustainability efforts.
