We are currently invested in 27 countries across five continents. The various regional and sectoral investment profiles of our real estate products allow us to do business around the world, throughout Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region.

Our investment process and clear organisational structure with specialised teams for each region and type of use provide the efficiency and reliability needed to complete transactions of varying sizes and complexity, in all phases of the real estate cycle, in a professional manner. Our global network also allows us to identify investment opportunities outside the public market using off-market channels.

Over 200 properties acquired for EUR 19.7 billion since 2017

With a transaction volume of EUR 24.1 billion within the last five years (2017 to 2021), comprising principally of acquisitions totalling EUR 19.7 billion, we are one of the most active investors in the last few years. During this period, Deka Immobilien used individual and portfolio deals to secure more than 200 high quality properties.

Entering new markets that offer potential for growth plays a significant role in our investment strategy. Investments were made in various countries in Europe, North and South America and the Asia-Pacific region. In the past five years, the investment focus has been on the European markets such as Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, France, Austria and Italy. Outside Europe, we were particularly successful in the USA, Australia and Canada.

Our acquisitions in 2021: More than 30 properties with a volume of EUR 3.7 billion

Deka Immobilien took advantage of many investment opportunities in 2021 and realised transactions with a total volume of EUR 4.4 billion for its retail and institutional funds.

More than 30 properties with a volume of EUR 3.7 billion were acquired across 13 countries, while 13 properties in 8 countries with a volume of EUR 729 million were sold.
Investments were primarily made in core European countries, above all Germany, the UK and France, as well as in the USA.
