Deka understands networking. You can expand your skills in internships.
Whether a three-month or six-month internship: You will be a full member of your team right from the start, you will work on exciting projects and acquire knowledge for your further studies or career. You will also benefit from our network of interns and contacts that you can establish during your internship. And by the way: For many of our employees, the internship serves as the door opener for their career. In Europe’s financial centre.
Deka understands how to help you develop your skills. As a student trainee, there are plenty of opportunities for further development.
Whether you want to put your skills to the test in practice or if you have to complete a mandatory internship: Whatever the reason – what is important to us is your willingness to make a difference. After a thorough initial training period, you will support your team in a variety of tasks and manage challenging projects. You will work between 10 and 20 hours per week with the possibility of working full-time during semester breaks. You can usually coordinate your working hours flexibly with your team or your supervisor. In any case, you will gain a great deal of practical experience.
“People listened to my ideas here.”
“From day one, as a student trainee you are allowed to participate in meetings, openly exchange opinions and ideas and take responsibility in various projects. These varied activities – often in different departments – help student trainees gain a lot of experience and get to know new ways of seeing things. I was pleasantly surprised by the extremely collegial cooperation across departments and the very good relationship employees have with their superiors. This makes work a lot of fun and is extremely motivating.”
Steven Clark, former student trainee
“Your ideas are valued and you’re part of a great team right away.”
“At Deka, from day one I felt like a full-fledged team member. A lot of emphasis is placed on independent work. That’s why you learn so much during your internship. At the same time, teamwork plays a major role: Interns actively support projects that are already underway. The interesting combination of independent work and effective teamwork makes the internship at Deka so unique for me.”
